Why Wont My Female Lock When Mating Dogs?
I tried mating my 2 year old male pug to a 3.5 year old female pug (she hasn't had any litters) on day 10 but nothing happened so i had to hold the female, still nothing happened. I tried again on day 12 (not swollen), day 13 (a bit swollen) & day 15 (still slightly swollen). On day 13 & 15 i held the female and the male had entered many many times and the female isn't locking, why is this? The male is a Top quality stud dog so I'm certain its nothing to do with him.
Please has anyone got any ideas?

Cherry, I disagree with yourself as there has got to be a reason why she isn't locking. I'd rather the owner of the stud dog tell me that thanks! You never know they could mate tomorrow!
If the stud really was top quality, I doubt that his owner would allow him to mate a b*tch who's owner has no clue about the whole thing.
I'm glad to hear they didn't mate. Get her spayed, poor thing.
